I have found myself riding a rollercoaster of emotions the last few weeks {months actually} and honestly it’s been really hard. I’m very thankful for a husband who picks up the pieces when I just can’t. This morning, he woke up early, took the kids out into the living room to start their day, and told me to take some time for myself. Once you become a Mama, time to yourself is rare- so you best bet I took advantage of that blessing. I grabbed a cup of coffee, sprayed my bed with a homemade linen spray, and curled up with a book. It may have only been a half hour to myself- but I came out of that time so relaxed and ready for the day.
What are you doing to relax today? Taking a walk, riding your bike, maybe making a meal for your family? Whatever it is that you’re doing, at the end of the day I bet you’d love nothing more than curling up in a comfy bed. Why not try out my homemade linen spray to help you relax.
Calming Linen Spray
- 4 oz glass spray bottle
- Witch Hazel
- Lavender Essential Oil (10 drops)
- Stress Away Essential Oil (10 drops)
- Add 10 drops of each oil to a clean glass spray bottle.
- Fill the remainder of the bottle, replace the lid, and shake.
It’s as simple as that folks. I just have a few tips to share- Please make sure you’re using a glass bottle and not plastic. Essential oils can break down the plastic and it will leach into the oil. Also I recommend using high quality essential oils like Young Living or doTerra. The last regulation put into place regarding cosmetics was about a 100 years ago (literally). Both of these companies conduct both rigerous internal and external testing to ensure the purity of their products. My friend Alyson over at Ohhwhatifyoufly sells YL and is a great resource for all things wellness in general. Make sure you check her out.
